Please join us for a quick introduction to the residency program and get a chance to meet the authors that created the recently published IBM Power Systems Private Cloud with Shared Utility Capacity featuring Power Enterprise Pools 2.0 where they will discuss how they are involved with this solution in their job roles.

Bernhard Buehler is an IT Specialist for availability solutions on IBM Power Systems in Germany. He works for IBM Systems Lab Services. He has worked at IBM for 39 years and has 30 years of experience in AIX and the availability field. His areas of expertise include AIX, Linux, IBM PowerHA®, HA architecture, shell script programming, and AIX security. He is a co-author of several IBM Redbooks publications and of several courses in the IBM AIX curriculum.
Gareth Coates is a Technical Lead and Product Introduction Specialist at IBM UK. He has 34 years of experience in Unix (28 years in Linux). His areas of expertise include IBM Power Systems, the Hardware Management Console, AIX and Linux. He has extensive experience as a technical trainer and speaks at IBM Technical Universities. He has written extensively on IBM Power Systems and SANs; this is his eighth ITSO publication. Gareth has worked at IBM for 29 years.
Ashwini Deo is a Client Technical Specialist for Power Systems in IBM India. She has over 22 years of experience working in the Server and Storage technology space. She holds an MS in Software Systems from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani, India. She works with large enterprises in designing infrastructure solutions built on IBM Power Systems. She has worked extensively on architecting server solutions and on system software development on UNIX and Linux systems.
Turgut Genc is a senior IBM Power Systems Consultant in the UK. He holds an MSc degree in Computer Science Engineering from Yildiz Technical University in Istanbul, where he worked as a research assistant while managing the computer center of the university. Turgut is a versatilist focusing on Power Systems and AIX. He has 17 years of expertise in IBM Power Systems. He has worked in IBM Systems Lab Services EMEA for 10 years, delivering consultancy services, Technical Trainings, presenting in TechU’s.
Sabine Jordan is a Consulting IT Specialist, working in IBM Germany. She has worked as a Technical Specialist in the IBM i area for 30 years, specializing in HA. She has worked on IBM PowerHA SystemMirror® for i implementations for both SAP and non-SAP environments. Among these implementations, she created concepts for the design and implemented the entire project, in addition to performing customer education and testing. She has also specialized on new concepts that can help customers with setting up highly available environments that no only meet technical requirements but also meet budget.
Muhammad Farrukh Mahmood is a Senior IT Managing Consultant in Pakistan. He works for IBM Systems Lab Services Middle East and Pakistan. He has 19 years of experience and for the last 12 years, has been working for IBM in the POWER® System and IBM Storage Systems field. His areas of expertise include AIX, System Migration, Storage Data Migration, PowerVM®, Bigfix and AIX Security. He supports a large number of customers in the banking and the telecom sector.
Sridhar Murthy is an OpenGroup Certified Distinguished Technical Specialist working for IBM Global Business Services® in The United States. He holds a Master's degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering. He has 25+ years of experience in Information Technology and his areas of expertise include Cloud Computing, System Integration, IBM Power Systems (AIX and Linux on POWER), IBM PowerVM, IBM PowerSC and IBM Spectrum® Scale.
Stefan Stefanov is a senior infrastructure specialist in a leading global insurance company. He has 15 years of experience in engineering and supporting large scale Unix and Linux critical enterprise environments, with emphasis on IBM AIX and Red Hat Enterprise Linux. He has extensive experience with IBM Power systems and related technologies. His areas of expertise also include cloud, automation, disaster recovery and security.
